Hello! My name is Debbie McGhee and I am a broker with 28 years of successful Real Estate sales experience. I am very motivated, energetic, ambitious, results oriented sales person and sincerely enjoy the real estate business. Before getting into real estate I went to school in Northern California and graduated with a BA in Speech Communications. I have achieved many awards in public speaking I was on the speech and debate teams during school. At the age of 5, I began baton twirling and won many championships and became a baton teacher owning my own dance studio at age 13, I have won more than 250 awards in twirling including Miss Majorette of California.
At 25 I went into interior design, I always loved beautiful homes and in 1979 I purchase a home and refurbished it inside and out then put it on the market and it sold in one day. Designing homes came natural to me so I started a business refurbishing and decorating homes then decided to get my real estate license. I began my real estate career in Squaw Valley Lake Tahoe and after a few years through the snow and storms I realized the weather was just to cold me and I moved back to the Bay area. The next day I hung my license with Coldwell Banker in Marin County and San Francisco. Along the way I met many people who wanted to purchase homes from a Feng Shui perspective and since my business was taking me in this direction I decided to get my Feng Shui practioneer designation and I use Feng Shui to day in selling and decorating homes.
For 13 years, I sold homes for new home builders in California and Nevada , I specialized in master planned communities as well as urban high-rise projects consisting of luxury homes, condominiums and town-homes. New home sales was an interesting experience, my responsibilities included demonstrating and pre-selling homes before ever having a model to show basically selling dirt. But in 4 years of high-rise experience I wrote over 400 contracts in the Gaslamp district of downtown San Diego. In my 1st year sales, I pre-sold 120 units in five weeks working out of Starbucks Mission Valley while waiting for my downtown real estate office to be built. I achieved 45 million in sales in 2004 and won the Silver Award for "Best Sales Team of the Year" at Nationals. I believe my wealth of knowledge was achieved from having my CSP designation.
My Real Estate experience includes New Homes and Re-sales specializing in Urban Downtown San Diego, Lake San Marcos, San Francisco, Temecula, Palm Springs and Las Vegas. I've worked with the 55 & over including prop 60/90 and my Specialty is Luxury Water Front Estates. I've managed offices for Realty Executive in Palm Desert and San Diego and worked for California Federal as a Loan Representative in Marin County & San Francisco.
